Two Detours programs offer challenging journeys for travellers who want a deeper dimension to their travel experience. A chance to make a contribution to the lives of disadvantaged people:
Detours Volunteer is a program that allows individual travellers, or family groups an opportunity to assist with community projects in developing countries in Africa, South East Asia and South America. Our projects are organised by communities at grassroots level, allowing you to immerse yourself in the daily life of a community while supporting the local people in the village. Detours Volunteers can participate in education, health and community service projects in all of these countries.
Detours Corporate is a unique program offering corporations, both large and small, the chance to make a practical contribution to their corporate social responsibility by engaging employees in projects to improve the lives of ordinary people in South East Asia, South Pacific, Africa and South America.
Antipodeans Abroad has created a series of short-term, sustainable community projects in a number of developing countries that your organisation can assist. In keeping with the ethos of 'giving back', teams of employees can be involved in areas of conservation, construction and community work to improve the plight of disadvantaged people while experiencing a unique immersion experience.
